Raise a Glass to the Bold.
Some people wait for history to happen while others write it.
Meriwether Bourbon was created for those who choose to write history. Inspired by one of America’s greatest explorers and crafted in the hills of Tennessee, every Meriwether barrel is hand selected for one reason alone: It’s earned the name.
No two barrels are identical making every bottle of Meriwether Tennessee Bourbon a different journey to explore.
TASTING NOTES:
The Explorer
Some people wait for history to happen. Others write it.
Meriwether is the flagship expression of Lewis County Barrel Company, inspired by the fearless curiosity and enduring legacy of American explorer Meriwether Lewis.
Every bottle begins with one carefully selected barrel. There is no blending and no averaging away the qualities that make that barrel distinctive.
Meriwether opens with a bold, aromatic nose of toasted vanilla, caramelized sugar, dark cherry, and ripe fruit. On the palate, its cask-strength character delivers an oily, satisfying texture with layers of maple, brown sugar, medicinal cherry, dried citrus, and toasted oak. As the whiskey rests in the glass, softer notes of peach, baking spice, and vanilla begin to emerge.
The finish is long, warming, and balanced, carrying cherry, oak, allspice, and a lingering hint of tobacco.
Powerful without becoming careless, Meriwether offers the depth experienced bourbon enthusiasts expect while remaining balanced enough to reward anyone ready to explore cask-strength whiskey.
Meriwether is bold, balanced, and uncompromising.
