Hot Toddy
A cold-weather classic that highlights Meriwether’s warmth, spice, oak, and honeyed character.
Equipment
- Kettle heat-safe mug, jigger, bar spoon.
Ingredients
- 1.25 oz / 37 ml of Meriwether Bourbon
- 4 oz / 120 ml Hot water
- 0.5 oz / 15 ml Honey
- 0.5 oz / 15 ml Fresh lemon juice
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 Lemon wheel for garnish
Instructions
- Warm a heat-safe mug with hot water, then discard the water.
- Add honey and fresh lemon juice to the mug.
- Add hot water and stir with a bar spoon until the honey dissolves.
- Add Meriwether Bourbon.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and cinnamon stick.
Notes
Pro Tip: Keep the Meriwether pour at 1.25 oz. Heat intensifies alcohol, so a lighter pour creates a smoother hot drink.
