Meriwether Old Fashioned
A bold, spirit-forward bourbon classic that showcases Meriwether’s oak, brown sugar, cherry, and maple depth.
Equipment
- heat-safe mug, jigger, bar spoon
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz / 45 ml Meriwether Bourbon
- 0.25 oz / 7 ml Demerara syrup
- 2 Dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 Dash Orange bitters
- 1 Large ice cube
- 1 Orange peel for garnish
Instructions
- Add demerara syrup, Angostura bitters, and orange bitters to a rocks glass.
- Pour in Meriwether Bourbon.
- Add one large ice cube.
- Stir with a bar spoon for 20 to 30 seconds until chilled and lightly diluted.
- Express the orange peel over the glass, then place it in the drink.
- Serve immediately.
